From the DIFR (FR) and DISR (SR) statistics, we found that FR reduced gradually from
1.1 in 2011 to 0.4 in 2013 and SR from 24.7 in 2011 to 3.4 in 2013. The value of both
indicators is lower than the 2010-2012 FR and SR means for manufacturing industries
FR=2.04 and SR=150) announced by the MOL, suggesting that the KY training (Kiken
Yochi Training: Hazard Prediction Training), safety management by walking around (safety
MBWA), and ESH-related training implemented in recent years is effective.
Joint evaluation of labor safety with related departments is conducted for project,
product, and service procurement and acceptance to ensure purchased items comply
with labor safety requirements.
In 2013 we implemented plant and customer supplier evaluation for project managers
and the EHS to evaluate suppliers in terms of project quality, construction skills, and
ESH self-management each year. The evaluation results will be the reference for supplier
selection in the future.
