After passing ISO9001 certification in December 2011, we implemented the OHSAS
18001/TOSHMS occupational safety and health management system in 2012 and
passed the certification of both systems in October 2013. The ISO14001 environmental
management system will be implemented in 2014 to enhance ESH awareness through
the continual improvement of various ESH management systems
In the following sections, the passing of OHSAS18001/TOSHMS certification and the
planning of the implementation of the ISO14001 management system are described.

Establishment and Implementation of the
Occupational Safety and Health Management
Systems
In May 2012 the president hosted the Hermes Epitek OHSAS18001/TOSHMS
Certification Kick-off Meeting to announce the implementation of the occupational safety
and health system (OSHS) at Hermes Epitek, so as to reduce accidents, risks, and
the impact on safety and health; to fulfill corporate social responsibility and to pursue
sustainable development through comprehensive management activities.
After the “baseline inventory”, “system framework documentation”, “system operation
and correction period”, and “verification period” one after another, we passed the
certification of both the OHSAS18001 and TOSHMS systems in October 2013.
