A cool winter breeze blows bare the bald cypress branches of ZhanYe Garden in the afternoon. These trees stand stoically, elegantly, and assuredly along the garden walkway, in contrast with the irises, white ginger lilies, and peonies adorning the shrubs. Splashing water pours slowly down a stream brimming with pygmy waterlily and lotus blossoms, singing a soothing tune for the naked branches and fallen leaves. There are no singing warbling white-eyes in the treetops, and it’s too cold for the red-bellied tree squirrels to get out of bed. Colorful butterflies and other insects patiently wait for the arrival of warm spring.
ZhanYe Garden was inspired by Bendemeer’s Stream, a work by Irish poet Thomas Moore from the 18th century. The poem’s theme of harmony between humanity and nature served to inform the garden’s landscape design. This garden is intended to relieve visitors’ stress, cleanse their souls, and spark creativity. The landscape was designed by TKC Environmental Design Group and won an award for quality at the 10th Taiwan Landscape Awards.
Hermes-Epitek has long striven to create a comfortable and beautiful work environment for its employees. Be in a restaurant, coffee bar, reading lounge, or shower facility, a human-centric perspective is required to create a wholesome, warm, and idyllic space. It is our hope for employees to develop their strengths while exercising their creativity in a pleasant atmosphere.
The adjacent garden of the Hermes-Epitek ZhanYe Plant also offers a unique green space at the Hsinchu Science Park. A couple of steps into the trail of fallen petals, with the whispers of the stream caressing one’s ears, this is no longer a manufacturing complex but a primeval forest, natural and simple.
