One day, when engineer A-long had finished lunch, he asked administrative staff P: “Can I ask for the recipe for this onion tomato tuna salad? I would like to make it for my four year-old daughter. It is really refreshing and healthy, if I put it on some toast for breakfast, I’m sure my daughter would love it”. P jokingly asked A-long with a smile: “Are you not going to let your wife taste it first?” A-long replied: “Of course! She will be the first one to taste it!” as his smile grew wider…
A pot of braised meat that reminds one of home…
One day, when engineer A-wen went to get lunch, he greeted our colleague P who asked: “I haven’t seen you around for lunch lately, you have been away on a business trip? Must be working hard huh?”, A-wen replied: “Yes, I have been to China and the hard part wasn’t the work, it was the food. Today I smell the Taiwanese-style braised meat that I have been thinking about day and night, I am going to eat three bowls of meat and rice!” Colleague P smilingly replied: “Welcome home.” Not long ago I received mail from a colleague from CMP, who wrote: “A colleague from Nanjing came to Taiwan for training a while ago. He tasted the braised pork rice at lunch and even after returning to China, he hasn’t been able to forget it. Would it be possible to ask the Hermes-Epitek head chef in Taiwan for the recipe so that he could cook it for himself?” Afterwards, Colleague P said to the chef: “Hermes-Epitek dishes are truly the reason for their nostalgia”……
A bowl of fish soup that tastes like friendship……
One day, administrative staff S asked the chef: “This weekend I am going to be participating in my friend’s housewarming cooking contest, do you have any secret recipes you could teach me?” to which the chef replied: “Isn’t the seafood soup at lunch one of your favorites? Colleague S: “Oh, that’s right, I can use the dish to enter the contest!” Some days later, colleague S bragged to the chef: “After the taste-test, my dish was selected from among the 5 participating preparations. I won the first prize and a NT$200 bonus from the host!”. Different flavors result in the best friendships……
A cup of tea that tastes like love and care……
In 2017, the beverage refrigerators that brought so much happiness became a thing of the past to give place to the new healthy teas brewed by the chefs. The Company also bought a batch of environmental-friendly glass cups so that employees could bring their own cup and fill it with tea. Our colleagues usually share their golden ratios, that is, the ratio of tea to sparkling water that makes the perfect drink, while having a sip over friendly work-related conversations. Not forgetting their busy co-workers, our colleagues would frequently bring them a cup of tea when returning to their respective departments. This cup of tea is not only a drink, but a symbol of the warmth and consideration between colleagues……
