For more than 40 years, Hermes-Epitek has been providing semiconductor equipment services and has remained dedicated to fundamental scientific research. From electrons, ions, to neutrons, silicon wafers to compound semiconductor, and advanced technology of process equipment to in-depth research in the biomedical field, Hermes-Epitek has constantly cultivated and expanded the capacity of proprietary research and development in Taiwan.
With the advancement of science and technology, human imagination of the future world, and a desire to improve the quality of life and medical care, Hermes-Epitek continues to expand its horizons and embrace the challenges of new technologies. Over the years, Hermes-Epitek has successfully developed key semiconductor process equipment such as E-beam inspection, low-energy high-current ion implanter, and metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) equipment, and the mass production technology of compound semiconductor (third generation semiconductor), SiC devices. It has also introduced the boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) to extend the R&D capability of semiconductor process equipment to new fields in wide bandgap semiconductor and precise medical care equipment.
Hermes-Epitek has adopted technologies and recruited teams from all over the world to take deep root in Taiwan. With constant R&D and innovation, Hermes-Epitek has powered through decades of challenges one step at a time. In the field of wide bandgap semiconductor, we have implemented extensive planning from SiC crystal growth, epitaxy, IC design, to wafer foundry. In the field of biomedicine, we care about improving the quality of human life. Therefore, we have made several investments, including advanced cancer treatment, ventricular assist devices (key medical devices), virus testing, antibody research, in the hope of making more contribution. Furthermore, Hermes-Epitek has also begun planning for the next generation revolutionary technology development.
The demands for advanced semiconductor process, high-speed computing, AI, and new energy will continue to guide us forward. Meanwhile, there is still much room for the development of life sciences and medical care worthy of further exploration. We will remain persistent in our pursuit of scientific advancement, and stay enthusiastic for new technologies.
